A little mark that means so much to me. 

I’m incredibly proud to share that Mirukī is now part of the Buy Women Built community - a movement dedicated to shining a light on female-founded businesses and, importantly, showing the next generation of girls what’s possible.

There’s something about this one that feels particularly special.

Before becoming a mother, I had a very different picture of what success looked like. I wanted to climb the corporate ladder, make the next move and keep pushing forward.

Then my girls came along and, like so many things in motherhood, everything shifted.

My time became more precious. The small moments became the big ones. Being there, making memories, nurturing friendships and making space for the things that creatively fulfil me suddenly mattered so much more.

And somewhere in amongst all of that, Mirukī was born.

Built between nap times and night feeds, around a corporate job and four-hour round-trip commutes to London, with two little girls at the heart of it all.

Mirukī exists because I never want motherhood to mean losing the woman you were before it.

I want mothers to remember that they matter too. That it’s okay to make time for yourself. To want to feel beautiful in a body that has changed. To feel strong, feminine and more like you, even when almost everything around you feels different.

And I hope, in my own tiny way, my girls grow up seeing that becoming their mother didn’t make me less ambitious or less myself... it simply made me braver about following what I love, clearer about what matters, and more fulfilled than I’ve ever been.

The community of women I’ve met along the way has been one of the greatest surprises of building Mirukī. Mothers, founders, creators and customers who give their time, share advice, champion one another and genuinely want to see other women succeed.

So to now wear the Buy Women Built mark and be part of a movement built around that same spirit feels incredibly special.

Every time someone chooses Mirukī, I still have a little is this actually real? moment. The fact that you would choose something I once dreamed up in my head to play even a tiny part in your motherhood journey means more than I could ever properly put into words.

Here’s to women building things. Women backing women. Mothers remembering that they matter too.

And our little girls growing up believing there is space for all of who they want to be.
